Dino capital of the world! ?? ?? Come and enjoy small town America. Our two street, quiet neighborhood has concrete roads, sidewalks, street lamps and all. This home is a 4 bed, 4 bath 2-story home. Two rooms are upstairs with their own individual en-suite bathrooms and separate staircases as well (the rooms do not connect at all- great for added privacy for multi families traveling). One upstairs room has a queen bed and large bathroom with full tub/shower. Other upstairs bedroom has two double beds and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Downstairs has the primary bedroom with a king size bed, large bathroom and large tiled walk-in shower. There’s also an additional twin bed, that is stored in the closet, that can be pulled out to accommodate a young child who may still want to sleep in mom and dad’s room! (My youngest was like that! Lol) The other downstairs bedroom has a twin bunk bed with a twin trundle and a full size bed. This room could accommodate 4-5 children easily. This room also has a connecting bathroom as well. Each room has its own bathroom which is great for privacy when traveling with others. We have also provided a high chair, pack-n-play and small portable crib for convenience for those traveling with infants. ?? ?? As of right now, we don’t offer bedding for the small crib so we would ask that you bring that or we do have smaller blankets available in the hall closet closest to the laundry room. The home is listed as sleeping 10 people but you can easily fit up to 12-14 and we certainly don’t mind trying to accommodate larger groups whenever possible! WORK REMOTELY: Though we live out in the small city, our families who have stayed with us have had no problems conducting online school or work. Please understand upload speeds are not like the big city. GLASS GARAGE DOOR: Due to the amount of insects (flies, wasps, and bugs) that come inside we will no longer be using the glass door. There is no smoking in the house or on the porch, there are designatd smoking areas near by. The master suite offers a romantic queen size rustic iron bed and a large private bath. You will love the spacious living room with a large leather sofa, flat screen TV, large windows that open up to the magnificent views and provide plenty of natural sunlight that brightens up the whole room. Second bedroom has a very comfortable mission style queen bed while the third bedroom has two twin beds for the kid’s. Rover is welcome but please leave your cat at home. We practice cleaning and disinfecting in accordance with CDC guidelines! safe!! We also have boat and RV parking available on site. Glen Rose is a small community with several good restaurants including four delicious Mexican restaurants and also what we think is the best BBQ anywhere. City of Granbury is a twenty minute drive and has many more culinary options. We are 50 minutes from Fort Worth, TX, 80 minutes from Dallas, TX and DFW Airport, two hours from Austin. Area Attractions: Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, Dinosaur Valley State Park, Glen Rose Paluxy River Walk, Dinosaur World, Barnard’s Mill Art Museum and Big Rocks Park. There are some cute shops and restaurants, antique stores, galleries, weekend farmer’s market on or near the Glen Rose Courthouse square, and don’t miss the pie shop. Great golf is available year round on five area golf courses including Squaw Valley Golf Club which is consistently rated as one of the top courses in Texas. Lots of sights to see and all are within a day's adventure. Also, great fishing (Striper, Bass, Catfish) in our nearby lakes (Lake Granbury and Whitney). You don't need to bring a pole, we will hook you up with a fishing guide who will provide everything you will need to land the big one while being chauffeured around a lake in a big comfortable boat. (Reservations required) Paluxy River access is just a short walk down our road, a great place for photo ops or just cooling off in the warmer weather. There is a county park and picnic area on the river just a half mile from the cabin, out the gate and to the right follow the road to the low water river crossing at the bottom of the hill. One side of the river crossing is shallow with a few little holes you can sit in and cool off. The other side is knee deep at first and then drops off to about four foot deep or more. You can swim or fish there and maybe catch some small Perch. (Never let children play in stagnate pools of water) If you are going to drive down you will find a county park on the far side of the crossing where you can park. Another option is Wheeler Branch Reservoir which is a better choice if the kids would like to catch fish, the reservoir has Perch, Bass and Catfish. They also have a picnic area, restrooms and a beach swim area. The reservoir is about ten minute drive and there is a small fee to enter. The spring and fall climate is pure enjoyment and the winter climate is also mild. The winter temperature is usually in the 50-70 degree range. Our 'freeze spells' never last long. This is Texas, we can have a 40 degree day one day & a 70 degree the next! We rarely have snow and it melts quickly.

The entire house and all of its amenities are yours for the weekend. Country living only 4 miles from the city. The house is located on 10 acres with a pond, pavilion, and horses to enjoy. (No riding). If you have a large group, check out my guesthouse located on the property to rent out as well. (H&B Guesthouse and Fishing Pond) There are 3 private bedrooms with queen or king beds, a loft with a queen size futon, and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room if needed. Each room is equipped with a dresser for you to use if you want to unpack. I have a tankless water heater so you will not run out of hot water. Open floor plan with plenty of eating space and full kitchen with dishes, glassware, silverware, and pots and pans available to use. Full access to the fridge and a shelf in the pantry for storing you food for your stay. Due to my allergies, no animals of any kind will be permitted, whether it is a service animal, emotional support or comfort animal, or a personal pet. Smoking will not be permitted either. My home is located between Granbury and Glen Rose. Both little towns have so many unique things to go do and see. Very family oriented towns and activities during the days along with great nightlife activities to enjoy. This is a place you can come and relax and get away from it all. Sit by the pond and sip on a drink while enjoying a fire in the fire pit. Enjoy sitting on the porch looking out over the property in the morning or the sunset in the evening. Oversized carport can be used as a big patio to set up a table (provided) and eat outside while looking out over the property and pond. You are welcomed to fish in my private pond. It is catch and release only. I have huge catfish, bass, and perch. I strongly suggest to have nothing less than 20 lb. test line on your fishing pole if you plan to catch catfish. You will have self check-in with a keypad entry on the door and there is a gate with a code to enter the property. (Temporary code will be set for your stay.) Feel free to roam around the property. There are some trails in the back area of the pasture that you can hike around and explore nature at it’s finest. You will not be disappointed at this property or it’s surroundings. If the guesthouse is rented, the pond/trails/pasture area is a shared space.

This newly renovated house sits on a fully fenced 4 acres and has two large bedrooms with king beds that share a large bathroom with a private outdoor shower. Enjoy the large covered back patio next to the firepit and enjoy a game of corn hole or washers For those booking in the colder months, the shower is partially outside, so it can be a bit brisk, but the water heater provides abundant hot water and most of our guests will love it year round. Upstairs Floor= has Master Bedroom with a king size its own bathroom and large sitting area, and access to the hot tub room, with a balcony for coffee in the morning. Downstairs (water level)= has two sets of bunk beds and queen bed. Access to lower deck with sitting area and an outdoor shower. Upper deck off main floor has lounge chairs, various tables and chairs, umbrellas, BBQ, and seated bar with chairs, high table with built-in heater. Please note, the lake level is back up to normal levels after an all time low for 3 years, and therefore the boat lifts are not functional for lack of use and don't have an ETA on repairs. We have had guest bring their boats and bring it into the dock and tie it. Our house is on the deepest and widest part of the lake so we are blessed for that. There is great fishing off the deck, caution should be taken when swimming or diving off the lower deck. Please contact Granbury Marina for boating conditions. I don't own a boat therefore not the best to provide advise. I have seen jet skiing and limited boating on the lake.

Besides just being an awesome main body water front property with a boat dock, the renovation focused on the kitchen, bathrooms and new dreamy mattresses throughout the bedrooms. The Kitchen boast some wonderful features, it was designed for family gatherings and sharing the meals you love to cook. Custom cabinets, granite countertops, a deep kitchen sink, smooth surface cooktop, wine refrigerator, french door stainless steel refrigerator with ice maker are some of the useful features along with plenty of bar seating and a dining table that sits 6-8 comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of your cooking and serving needs. If outdoor cooking is your desire, why not do it lakeside with the gas grill or the Pit Boss Pellet Smoker. The Living Room has soaring white pine ceilings, gas fireplace, 52" Smart flat screen Television and plenty of comfortable seating. There are two master bedrooms on the main floor, guest should be aware that there are two steps up to be taken to enter the master bedrooms and bath. There is a grab bar at the entry of the rooms if needed. Smart Televisions are in these bedrooms as well as ceiling fans. Ice, drinks and fuel are just across from the lake house at the Pecan Plantation Marina. Don't have a boat? Pontoon boat rentals are available, or just take a paddle around in the two kayaks provided. Please note that guest do not have access to the garage or the maids closet. If guest need a break from the lake, there is plenty of entertainment around town including the historical Granbury Square where there is always a play to be seen at "The Granbury Opera House", be careful though, it's said to be haunted by the ghost of John Wilkes Booth! There are also unique shops all around the square as well as restaurants. If you're in the mood for wildlife adventure, "Fossil Rim" is just a short drive away in Glen Rose, and while you're there, check out "Dinosaur Valley State Park". There are 3 decks on the lake side. The upper deck includes an eating area that seats 10, ceiling fan, porch swing and a charcoal grill. The middle deck has adirondack seating, a 10' shade umbrella and a propane firepit. The bottom deck is just a few feet above lake level and is perfect for fishing off of. The living areas are open concept on the first floor with a commercial grade gas stove and oven. Seating for 5 at the breakfast bar between the kitchen and dining table. And another 10 seats at the dining room table so everyone can eat together. Large sectional sofa in the living room that can sleep an additional 2 people. The Retreat has better wifi than I have at my home. Both 2G and 5G available. We have provided basic amenities including fresh towels, bathroom supplies, full kitchen, and drinks. If you need to do any laundry you have full access to the washer and dryer. This is a beautiful five bedroom, 3.5 bath home with additional sleeping for four people in the guest lighthouse... located on the waterfront of Lake Granbury, within Indian Harbor, a private and gated community. Bedroom #2 has a queen size bed and a mini crib, located next to a full size bathroom. Bedroom #3, also has a queen size bed and mini crib and shares bathroom with Bedroom #2. Bedroom #4 has a queen bed, also a full bed with twin trundle and crib with windows that look out over the lake. Bedroom # 5 has a queen size bed, twin bed with twin trundle and a crib. Bedroom # 4 and #5 share a bathroom across the hall. The large game room has sectional seating, smartTV and a pool table with a spectacular view of the lake. Downstairs along with the Master Bedroom is the living room with plenty of seating, a wood burning fireplace and TV, a large open concept kitchen with island, bar, table, and dining room overlooking the lake. There are fresh linens in the closet in the upstairs linen closet to use, and towels are provided in each bathroom. Please bring your own towels for outside use. Enjoy the fire pit. Games of bags are available and there is a grill outside for those outdoor grilling experiences. On the property there is a two story lighthouse with two twin trundle beds that will sleep an additional four people.

Casa de Lago - our home away from home - is a charming, recently re-modeled/ updated rustic 2 story home with a wrap around porch sitting on Comanche Cove overlooking Lake Granbury. With a large deck, boat dock and a fire pit, this home has great areas for gatherings. The home was relocated in 1970, right after Lake Granbury was established in 1969; it was moved from Downtown Fort Worth, a second story was then added at the time of relocation. Check out the pictures from the move in 1970 located on the kitchen wall. The main home sleeps 12, with 3 bedrooms, a bunk room and 2 full baths and vanity upstairs. Upstairs is the king bed, the queen bed, a full bath and a separate vanity. Downstairs is the full bed and the bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds and a full size sofa sleeper, also downstairs is the second full bath with a large walk-in shower. The master bedroom upstairs has a 32" TV with DirecTV and a DVD player. The bunk room has a 42" TV with DirecTV and a DVD for watching movies and a Wii game console; some games and movies are provided. The newly updated kitchen has a new oven, stove and vent-a-hood, large fridge and freezer, a coffee bar, microwave, toaster, blender, and all the utensils you will need. The "Cabin" sleeps 4 and is separate from the house and is located just steps away across the courtyard. It has a queen size bed along with a full size futon/sofa sleeper and a full bath. The "Cabin" features a 42" TV with DirecTV and a DVD player. A private boat dock with a rope swing over the water. A large deck overlooking the lake to relax on, a boat house that holds all the water toys for your enjoyment, and a rope swing on a large old oak tree. A fire pit for s'mores and enjoying conversation with friends and family overlooking the water. You are only minutes from historic downtown Granbury, where you will find excellent dining and entertainment; seasonal events and activities are also just down the road at the Granbury Convention Center. Glen Rose is a short drive away, where there are other attractions, such as Dinosaur Valley State Park and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.
